Whole foods, as defined by the article, are natural and unprocessed foods that contain only one ingredient.

Since food is a crucial necessity for all living beings, it serves as the fuel that gives us energy. So here are types of foods you need to consume most of the time to keep a healthy body.

Fruits and Vegetables. These would be the first thing that comes to your mind when I said natural and unprocessed given that these are eaten raw. It has a lot to offer to your body which contributes to your immune system and overall bodily functions.

Meat and Fish. This is the best source of protein. According to WebMD, medical online website, protein repairs tissue and a vital material to make enzymes needed for your body. It also helps build muscles through exercise.

Nuts and seed. These contain fat, fiber, and protein. Yes, you read it right. Nuts contain fats. However, nuts are naturally grown so do not panic. Though, it should need to take in moderation.

Dairy. It is also a good source of protein and calcium, which is good for your bones.

Water. This is really the most important food that you need to take. Since you are composed of 70 percent water. You need to maintain your fluids to avoid dehydration.

After learning this, you are ready to step up your game. You may consider doing diets that will accompany your fitness goal.

Each people have different body type. Certain diets can be applicable to some people but not all. We should not do it alone. Instead, we should consult experts regarding this diet.

Here are some diets that will help you become lighter on that weighing scale.

Paleo Diet. From its root word “Paleo” meaning ancient. This means all organisms that grow from the ground that is edible. No burgers, pasta, fast food, and such. Just think you are living like a caveman.

Keto Diet. If you can have a day by taking little to no carbs at all. This diet might be right for you. Keto or Ketogenic diet is a very low-carb, high-fat diet. This diet replaces your carbs with fats as fuel. Also, this transforms your metabolic state called “ketosis.”

Slow-Carb Diet. This diet, like keto, also limits your carb intake in six days a week. But this diet permits you to have a cheat day in a week. A list of food will be provided to you as a guide that you are allowed to eat. Four meals are allowed to eat within the day when you are following this diet.

Intermittent Fasting. This diet allows you to eat anything but not anytime. This diet has a scheduled meal plan. A normal person is required to eat 3 meals a day. But intermittent fasting only allows you two with a specific period of time.  This only gives you an 8-hour window time to eat but 16-hour fasting per day.
